DAY 1 : FLY ZANZIBAR TO DAR ES SALAAM TO NYERERE NATIONAL PARK

This morning take a flight from Zanzibar to Dar es Salaam where you will be met by your safari guide. You will arrive at Dar es Salaam around 08.00 hrs and your driver will take you straight to Nyerere National Park where you will arrive around lunch time. You will settle down at your lodge or camp for hot lunch and some rest. In the afternoon you will be taken to the jetty where the boat safari starts. You will spend the afternoon doing a boat safari a magnificent experience in the Great Rufiji. Crocodiles, hippos, black and white colobus monkey, crocodiles and birds such us fish eagles, pied kingfishers, giant king fishers etc can be seen here as well as other animals as they converge to quench their thirst. Crocodiles take advantage to hunt their prey and you might be treated to sights of animal action if lucky.

After Lunch and an extensive game drive, we head for our lodge near the park for dinner and overnight.

DAY 2 : NYERERE NATIONAL PARK ( FULL DAY )

Early morning breakfast this day at your camp / lodge then you will check in at gates of the Nyerere National Park for a full day of game viewing inside Park; 

You will spend this full day in the vast game reserve doing wildlife game drives in search of animals and birds. You expect to spot gazelles, giraffes, impalas, elephants, wildebeests, kudus, zebras, but also with a little luck you may spot the rarest of them all; the african wild dogs.
Nyerere National Park was named after a First President of Tanzania; the late Julius Kambarage Nyerere and the Park was later on in time declared a world heritage site by the United Nations body UNESCO. Nyerere National Park is roughly the size of Switzerland and the Park covers unexploited African wilderness with an interesting landscape that has topography that varies from prominent savannah woodlands, rolling savannah grassland plains, and rocky out crops that are believed to have been formed long time ago by the Rufiji River. Nyerere National Park is also home to the big cats including the leopards and prides of lions.

After Lunch and an extensive game drive, we head for our lodge near the park for dinner and overnight.

DAY 3 :  HALF GAME DRIVE NYERERE NATIONAL PARK – FLY DAR ES SALAAM TO ZANZIBAR

Early morning breakfast then you will go for a walking safari inside the Park a rare chance to come close to the wildlife and explore the African wilderness on foot. For your ultimate safety you will be escorted by an armed ranger who is also a trained naturalist. After the walking safari you embark on your drive back to Dar es Salaam by road. You will arrive Dar es Salaam in the late afternoon if you drive by road. You will be dropped at the Dar es Salaam International Airport for your flight back to Zanzibar Island
