This 4-day safari from Zanzibar is a great way to experience the best of Tanzania’s wildlife. You’ll visit three of the country’s most famous national parks: Serengeti National Park and Ngorongoro Crater.
The Serengeti National Park is one of the largest wildlife reserves in Africa. Its home to the famous wildebeest migration, which takes place every year between June and October. You’ll also see many other animals in the park, including lions, elephants, giraffes, and zebras.
The Ngorongoro Crater is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It’s a collapsed volcano that’s now home to a wide variety of animals, including lions, elephants, giraffes, and zebras. You’ll also see many different types of birds, including flamingos and pelicans.
Because Zanzibar and the Serengeti National Park are so far apart, this trip can only be taken by plane. Our packages includes everything including the local flights and hotel booking to make your vacation relaxed. The safari concludes in Arusha with a flight back to Zanzibar. If you want to end the tour in Arusha, we may drop you off at Arusha Kilimanjaro Airport and deduct the cost of your return flight from Kilimanjaro International Airport.
Since it is a customized tour, we might adjust it to meet your particular requirements, ideas, and spending limit. Ideal safari trip arrangements in Tanzania should be made well in advance. This is because it could be challenging to secure lodging quickly during the high and peak seasons. If you allow us to first check for lodging and flight availability before making a payment, we can still plan this holiday in a timely manner.

You will fly from Zanzibar Airport to Seronera Airstrip for a game drive. Upon your arrival at Seronera Airstrip you will meet with our driver guide who will be with you throughout the entire safari. The land stretches to the horizon in all directions, interrupted only by small dusty towns and earthy round Maasai huts. Once you’ve crossed into the Serengeti, you’ll be on a game drive as you make your way toward camp. The southern section of the park is covered with flat or gently rolling grasslands and occasionally dotted with rock kopjes, home to good populations resident game. Big cats love to have a good vantage point and the kopjes provide that. Massive of herds of wildebeest call this southern section home when they’re birthing before moving farther north. The Serengeti is home to a variety of landscapes, and what’s around you will depend on where you’re staying in the park.
Early morning after breakfast, we depart with picnic lunch to Serengeti National Park for full game drive. The Serengeti is truly spectacular. It is famous for its vast open grasslands which allow for excellent sightings of wildlife. The Serengeti is Tanzania’s oldest National Park and it is also one of the oldest ecosystems on earth. Its climate and vegetation have remained largely untouched for millions of years. Whilst the Serengeti boasts abundant wildlife, it is perhaps best known for the annual Great Migration and the presence of the big cats including lions, leopards and cheetahs as well as an incredible endless plain. Vast numbers of wildebeest; accompanied by large numbers of zebra and antelope move in an annual pattern, constantly seeking fresh grazing. The precise timing of the Migration is entirely dependent upon the rainfall patterns each year.
After Lunch and an extensive gamedrive, we head for our Tented partner lodges for dinner and overnight.
After early the morning breakfast today you will wake up early the morning game drive to spot the animals when they are more active and also to have a fantastic sunrise in front of you. The sunrise in the African savannah is one of the most beautiful experiences once you can have. In afternoon we will take a break to have a lunch in Serengeti national park. After lunch we will continue with game on route heading to Karatu for dinner and overnight.
Early morning you drive from Serengeti to the Ngorongoro. Upon arrival at Ngorongoro, you will start descending into the crater. This collapsed volcano is the main feature of the area and creates a unique ecosystem with a wide variety of vegetation. Enjoy the beautiful colors of the landscapes and the diversity of animals.
The crater is home to the highest concentration of wildlife in Africa and is choked with elephants, lions, buffaloes, hippos and even the rare black rhino. This is one of the best places to spot all of the Big Five. The views from the crater rim over the crater floor are incredible. Because of its natural beauty, the Ngorongoro Crater is chosen as one of Africa’s Seven Natural Wonders. After extensive game drive we’ll drive heading to Kilimanjaro International Airport for evening flight back to Zanzibar.
