Faraja Young Women Development Organization
The mission of this program is to support young women and their children through a local community initiative that empowers young women via education, skills training, and employment opportunities.
This visit can be easily arranged at a time that fits your travel plans. For clients with limited time during their vacation in Tanzania, you may visit the Centre one day before your safari begins or after safari, one day before your evening flight back home or onward to your next destination.
The visit offers a meaningful cultural experience, giving you the chance to meet the women, learn about their work, and see firsthand how the project is making a positive impact in the local community. It is a wonderful way to connect with the people and culture beyond the safari or trekking experience.
Program Snapshot
Visit to Faraja Center
Every tour with us includes a meaningful local visit around Arusha. During this visit, guests have the opportunity to experience Tanzanian culture beyond the safari and see how communities grow and support one another.
As part of our community engagement, we collaborate with Faraja Young Women Development Organization (Faraja Center) — a local non-profit that empowers young mothers through education, skills training, and daycare support. Visit their website to learn more about their incredible mission and programs.
Guests can meet the team at Faraja, learn about their inspiring work, and see how young women are building brighter futures for themselves and their families. This visit offers a chance to connect with local life, understand real stories of empowerment, and see how tourism can make a positive impact.
Volunteering & Sponsorship
At Memorable Vacation Africa, we believe travel can create real change. Through our partnership with Faraja Center, we invite you to experience Tanzania not only as a visitor but also as a contributor to the local community.
Volunteer Opportunities
Faraja Center empowers teen mothers and young women through education, vocational training, and childcare support. As a volunteer, you can share your time, skills, or knowledge to help these young women build independent and sustainable lives.
Sponsorship Opportunities
If you are inspired by Faraja's mission but don't have time to volunteer, you can still make an impact. Faraja also welcomes sponsors who wish to support their programs financially — whether by sponsoring a teen mother's training, a child's daycare needs, or specific learning materials.
Volunteer Opportunities
You can choose to volunteer in any of the following programs at Faraja Centre:
Digital Skills
Teach or assist in computer and technology lessons for young women.
Tailoring & Design
